SLOAN LAKE

I grew up in a little town called Jonesville, in the foothills of North Carolina.  I can not recall a time that my life did not revolve around the church. Saved and Baptized at age 7, and began preaching at age 17.

1983, I married my childhood sweetheart, that I have called babydoll for over 35 years now.  Karen and I moved to South Georgia.  After being married less than 2 years, I accepted the pastorate of Peoples Baptist Church of Folkston, GA.

I've pastored 5 churches, Peoples Baptist Church, Deep River Baptist Church, Fellowship Baptist Church, Mountain View Baptist Church, and for 20 years Sloan Lake Community Church.

3 grown children, 5 grandchildren, with more on the way.  All of the trip wasn't pleasant, but the joy in my heart far outweighs the scars and tears.

Born and raised in Kannapolis, Pastor Jeremy came to what is now Sloan Lake in 2000. After avoiding the call for many years, he was saved under the ministry of the late, Pastor Johnny Lee Cook at age 18. He was called to preach a year later.

 

He met his wife, Jessica at Sloan Lake who was also saved under Pastor Johnny Cook’s ministry. The two were married in 2008 and have 3 children, Selah, Eden and Eli.

 

Pastor Jeremy owns and runs White Tire and Service in Salisbury and is honored to serve and learn from Pastor Zack in the ministry.
